Pandanda Says Farewell! ;(

My dear Panda Pals,

It is with great sadness that I must announce the closure of  Pandanda, as of Sunday, October 28th 2012. Pandanda has been a labor of love for Henry and the Pandanda Team, and they are deeply saddened that due to financial reasons, Pandanda can no longer sustain ongoing development.

Over the past four years we have grown an amazing community and we will miss you all. Your enthusiasm and creativity has been such a joy to everyone on the Pandanda Team. Thank you to Pandanda's loyal fans and members for all of your love and support over the years.

I know that many of you will be sad, disappointed, and even angry at this news. Those are normal and ok feelings to have. But I hope you all will use this final week of Pandanda to hang out with your friends and focus on the fun and excitement you've shared here. Talk and laugh about your favorite memories, take some pictures with your Pandanda friends in your favourite locations, and remember all of the good times!

I am going to set up some Pandanda Memories Pages here on this Blog and Henry is setting one up on his Blog too. If you want to write down some of your favourite Pandanda memories and send them to me or Henry, we will add as many as we can to the Pandanda Memories pages. We will only be able to post memories in English, so if you write in another language, please translate to English before you send them. You can also send screenshots of you and your friends having a great time! Please send memories and pictures to screenshots@pandanda.com or pinguandsafespdconsole@hotmail.co.uk

October 27th will still be Free Elite Member Day, so everyone will be able to decorate their treehouses and have friends over, and buy and wear Elite clothes for one last time.

In addition to Free Elite Member Day, we hope you will join us for one last party on Saturday, October 27th to celebrate how awesome it has been to be a panda and to say farewell one last time. I will let you know more details about the party later in the week, but you can expect to see me, Sheriff Steele, and maybe even some other Pandanda friends that haven't visited in a while! I hope I get to see Sheriff Steele because since I (Pingu) joined on the 8th of January 2010 I haven't seen him once! I have seen Henry and I have the top but I would love to see him and say goodbye!


Maybe if Pandanda gets enough money again they might start Pandanda back up! But unfortunately I don't think that will happen. Does anybody else have any good ideas for new online games? Comment them on this post if you do! But I am sure, we will all miss Pandanda very very much, even if we do find another game.

Big Fun Next Weekend!

Hey Pandas!

I know a lot of you have either already started back to school, or you soon will be. I will start back at school on the 5th of September and I will be started Secondary School! I will be in year 7. 

I wanted to make sure everyone has marked their calendars for two exciting events next week. On Friday the 24th, the annual Pandanda Harvest Festival begins! The temperatures in Pandanda land will start to cool off, and the beautiful colors of autumn will be seen all over the island (well, except for Coconut Beach - it's always tropical there!) You will start to see yummy caramel apples appear on the ground, but don't eat them! You'll want to collect them to trade for exclusive Harvest Festival prizes!

On the the very next day, Saturday the 25th, another fabulous Free Elite Member Day is planned! Free Elite Member Day (or as we like to call it around here, FEMD) is a day where everyone who logs in has full access to Pandanda's Elite Membership features for that day. You can buy anything you want from the catalogue, decorate your treehouse and have friends over, and even adopt a pet dragon from the Pet Shop.

Free Elite Membership Day Was On Saturday!

As you may all of noticed, Saturday the 28th of April 2012 was Free Elite Membership Day!

That means everyone who logged in on Saturday will have full access to all of Pandanda's Elite Membership features!

It is when everybody can have an elite membership, for 24 hours!

You can do all sorts! Earn money, and head over to The Clothing Co and get some elite member cloths!

Dosn't that sound awsome!

You can also buy a horse from Questy in Treehouse Lobby (if you are level 10 or over), get a big dragon from questy (if you are level fifty or over), you can head over to Izzy in the Pet Shop and adopt your very own pet dragon, head to your Treehouse and buy furniture, head over to The Clothing Co in East Market Street and speak to Fitch and buy some cloths. See, Loads!

It is almost time for another exciting Free Elite Member Day. That's right, this Saturday, April 28th, everyone who logs into Pandanda will get to enjoy Elite Member benefits for one whole day!!!

And just what are those Elite Member benefits, I hear you asking? Well, you can shop til you drop at the Clothing Co. on East Market Street, and spend your coins on anything in the catalog. You can decorate your tree house with furniture from the House & Tree catalog, then unlock your tree to have your friends over for a fashion show or party.

 If your tree house feels kind of lonely, you can buy yourself a dragon egg from Izzy at the Pet Shop on West Market Street. After just six days, the egg will hatch into your very own dragon pet! And if you have reached a high enough Quest Level, you can even buy a Horse Companion from Questy!

Make sure you've got plenty of coins for shopping by collecting fruits, veggies, coconuts, mushrooms, gemstones, and recyclables, then selling them to the vendors around Pandanda. You can also catch fish and sell them to Fishy Joe. You can even earn coins by completing Quests!

Hey Pandas!


Earth Day is a great day to start new habits that can help keep our planet healthy and beautiful. But to really help, you need to keep doing those things! Here are some easy things you can do today and everyday to show your appreciation and love for Earth:

• Reduce, reuse, recycle!
• Turn off the water while you are brushing your teeth.
• Turn off lights, the TV, the computer, and other electronics when you are not using them.
• Pick up any litter you see on the ground and put it in a trash can.
• Plant flowers and trees.
• Get outside and enjoy the outdoors!

And remember, you can earn double coins in Pandanda today by selling your recyclable items to Steve McClean on East Market Street! Recyclable items like cans and bottles can be found in all the town areas of Pandanda.

More Fun This Week!

Hey friends!

I hope you are enjoying the Friendship Festival. You still have a whole week to collect Friendship Bracelets to trade to Lucy for the cool Friendship Festival prizes, so keep on collecting! Make sure to vote in the new poll to let me know your favorite Friendship Festival prize.

We had a great Game Day on Saturday. Henry really got a kick out of playing Bunny Chase and Ghosts of Misty Hill with so many of you during his visits. Check out these pictures of the fun!

Are you ready for more fun this week? First is Mardi Gras Colour Day today. Dress in Mardi Gras colours of purple, green, yellow, and gold, and lead your friends in a Mardi Gras parade around Pandanda. Our Brazilian panda friends might know this day better as Carnaval. Whatever you call it, make Tuesday bright and exciting! It is also Shrove Tuesday also known as Pancake Day today! Mod Jule is already dressed for Mardi Gras fun!

On Friday, the Super Questers who are at Level 50 (like me) and above will get their chance to party with me on Palm Server. The first party will be at 10am Pandanda Time and the second party will be at6pm Pandanda Time. You can click on each of those links to see what time the parties will be where you live. Pandas who live in Australia, New Zealand, and other countries around that part of the world will probably want to come to the 6pm party, since it will be on Saturday morning and early afternoon.

Fantastic February!

Hiya!


Wow, have you checked out the Pandanda February Calendar? Pandanda has got lots of things planned to help make the shortest month of the year one of the most fun months of the year!

Right off the bat, there was an awesome update in the Clothing Catalog. Lots of cool Valentine's-themed clothes and accessories; a hockey uniform, hockey stick, and skates; new player card backgrounds, and more! And you can still buy football stuff for the Big Game on Sunday. Go Team! I will put up what the clothes look like in another post. 
 

Zing will be leaving this Sunday, so make sure you have collected 10 Golden Tickets and traded them to him for his 4th and final prize. Once he leaves, his prizes are gone forever!

We will celebrate the power of friendship during the Friendship Festival, which begins on February 10th. You'll have 18 days to collect friendship bracelets to trade for cool Friendship Fest prizes. And on Valentine's Day, the 14th, we will have a Red and Pink Colour Day. 
Henry has got some special parties planned for Super Questers this month! On the 17th, all pandas who have reached Level 75 will be able to party with me on Palm Server. Then on the 24th, everyone at Level 50 and above will get their chance to party! There will be two party times on each of those days, so pandas all over the world should have a chance to participate.

Game Day returns on the 18th, with double coins on multiplayer games, and lots of chances to win Panda Gold from me and the Moderators in Ghosts of Misty Hill and Bunny Chase.
 

Dress up in purple, green, yellow, and gold for Mardi Gras Color Day on the 21st. 




Then end that week with a super Free Elite Member Day!

The Snows are Melting!

Hey pandas!


It snowed in real life today where I am! Didn't settle though. 


Well, the Snowmen have marched out of Pandanda and back to their snowy hideaway. And it looks like they've taken a lot of the snow with them!

The snow is starting to melt away, revealing the ground and streets beneath. The Fishing Hole has thawed, and the ice skating rink at Harvest Grove is closed for the season. But it's still pretty chilly around Pandanda, especially with pandas carrying around Zing's new prize. Hope you've got some gloves or mittens - brrrr!!

Can you believe January is almost over? The month went by so fast! February will be here soon, and it's going to be fantastic! It may be the shortest month of the year, but it is going to be PACKED with fun - the Friendship Festival, Game Day, Free Elite Member Day, Valentine's and Mardi Gras Colour Days, plus more! More? Yep, more! Keep reading my blog for updates!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Pandanda Pals! I am so thankful to have you all as my friends! I hope you will take some time today to think of all of the things that you are thankful for. Make sure to let the people you are thankful for know how much you appreciate them!

Today would be a great day to gather your Pandanda friends around the Thanksgiving table at East Market Street to share your thanks, and to enjoy the company of each other. Make sure to pick up the free yummy roasted turkey leg from the Clothing Co. catalog to nibble on while you chat.

After you've stuffed yourself with turkey, it's time to get moving! Get your panda some exercise by playing Bunny Chase and Ghosts of Misty Hill, and by traveling all over Pandanda collecting gems, fruits and vegetables, and recyclables. Make sure to sell the things you collect to the vendors so you can earn coins to spend on Free Elite Member Day on Saturday.

Last Day of Pumpkin Festival Was Thursday!

That's right, Thursday was the absolute last day of the Pandanda Pumpkin Festival! It's all over for this year!


It was also be your last chance to visit Draco the Ghost in The Parlour of the Haunted House. If you were working on one of his Quests, I hope that you completed the Quest and returned to Draco to get your Panda Power and coins. Now Draco bids farewell to Pandanda, you will no longer be able to turn in his Quests.

Thursday was also the last day to get the hidden Halloween shirt. If you haven't found it yet, then sorry, you will have to wait to get the next prize next Halloween!

Yes, Thursday was the end of some things, but don't worry! We are going to have fun in November. November 8th is another weird and wonderful Wacky Outfit Day. It's your chance to dress your panda in the most mixed-up, crazy outfit you can find.

Pandanda's traveling friend Zing Ballyhoo will be back on November 14th with more Golden Tickets and interesting prizes. During Thanksgiving Week, November 21-27, you can log in to get a special Thanksgiving gift for your panda. And on Saturday, November 26th, you can give thanks for another awesome Free Elite Member Day!

Henry has got a few other things under his hat for November, but you'll just have to be patient to find out what they are! As always, the place to get the most up-to-date information about what is going on in Pandanda is right here in Henry's, mine, or any other Panda's Blog!
